Battle for the Bosporus
Improvements in Yugoslavia
Hearts of Iron IV came out in 2016 and received continual updates as time went on, so some of the content that came out closer to release wasn’t quite in line with the game’s changing design vision. One of my first responsibilities on the project was to redesign the bulk of the content for Yugoslavia, which I achieved by looking at the design intention behind the original tree and updating it with more historical flavour and implementing content mechanics to enable players to engage with the broader content of the game. The result was an entirely new path for maintaining the monarchy, and fleshed out mechanics for Tito’s Yugoslavia, enabling players to take their nation in much more varied directions.
