Tours and Tournaments

Leading the tours

For Tours and Tournaments, I was design lead on the Tours feature. This involved designing the feature, working with a team of programmers to implement it, and coordinating a multidisciplinary team to take the feature from concept to release. As well as creating the bulk of the in-game content associated with Tours and designing the feature, I worked with the leadership team to ensure cohesion with other features and make a smooth release. At sprint checkpoints, Tours were frequently highlighted as being always in-scope and on time, delivering above expectations and staying ahead of schedule as well as delivering high player value. Tours were such a success that several members of the Tours team (including myself) were put into a temporary strike-team designed to help the other features to meet the expectations of the game director and other stakeholders. The strike team was successful, and ultimately Tours and Tournaments released and became at that point the most popular DLC for Crusader Kings both in terms of reviews and sales.
